I watched as understanding hit her and then watched her nostrils flare as that understanding budded into anger.

“Oh. So an artist can’t paint a picture of a man without banging him? It’s immediately assumed that I was so moved by your p3nis that I had to commemorate the moment by immortalizing you on my wall?” She took another large gulp of her wine. “Explain to me how that works because I’m pretty sure male painters have worked on nudes of women that they never slept with. But that’s okay, because women are meant to be decoration, and our bodies can be viewed under the guise of art and no one ever questions a male painter, do they?”

Oh shit. I triggered something deep in her that had far more implications than I anticipated. Maybe I wasn’t the only one in the yurt that had brought a bundle of unseen baggage. 


“That’s not what I meant.” 


Man, furious, she was on fire. She was intimidatingly worked up. And hotter, goddammit.
